Day 2 of firearm season and I decided to hunt in a different spot from where I was on opening day. I had seen some tracks and a couple of nice runways in the woods across from my originally planned area. I found a tree, sat down, and was settled into the woods by 6:30AM. At 7:40AM, this buck came walking in directly toward me. It was about 7-8 yards out when it turned broadside and I took the shot. An efficient hunt, and an exciting 7-point buck harvested on state land.
