Climbed up into my stand about 3:45. At 4:45 watched a group of does feed on acorns 120 yards away and then move off into the neighbors property to the north. Finally at 5:13 I hear a deer coming but don’t see him right away until he pops out in front of me at 45 yards. I was thinking he was going to continue heading west and give me a broadside shot at 40 yards or so. Instead he turns and comes directly to me on a string. Shot him at 10 yards at 5:15.
