I’ve been hunting the same spot since opening day, been seeing the same Turkeys. Had a blind set up but decided to go rogue this evening on the opposite side of the field. First turkeys I saw came out by my blind….go figure. Couldn’t call them over and they walked away. About 30 minutes goes by and I’m almost ready to give up and all of the sudden 4 Toms come strutting over this hill. I had 2 decoys set up in front of me. Initially they walked by them about 60-70 yards away from me. I gave a little scratch on my slate and they turned and made a b-line for my decoys. Let em get close enough to shoot and dropped him about 30 yards.
