Neighbors all called him Crab Claw. Thursday morning I was feeling risky and put up a new stand hoping to get the jump on a buck as they seemed too familiar with our usual areas. Thursday night l got a long shot at him and MISSED. I couldn’t believe I jumped the trigger so hard. Had some serious buck fever. I thought I blew my only chance for the season, but boy was I wrong. Friday night at last light he came strutting through the trees at 50 yards and gave me an easy heart shot. Still ran 70 yards! Tough guy!
