I missed him twice in bow season… My dad missed him one if rifle. I’ve gone out countless times waiting for this beast to come back. This morning I prayed god would bring him to me, he did but this morning wasn’t my time and a turkey scared him away. I just thought it wasn’t my time. I was determined so I went back out to the woods at 2:30 at 4:15 he came back! Only to be spooked by something on the neighbors property. So I talked to god a little more and said “please lord if it is your will bring him back and have him choose me. If not lord please allow to to at least see him again . This deer is the first deer I’d seen in person that was this big! You had around 5 o’clock I was looking at another deer in the back field. It looks pretty big. Couldn’t really make out what it was so I just kept my eyes on it. One out of nowhere my buddy goes Melissa. He’s back. Look about 40 yards to your right and there he was….! I tried to collect myself get control of my breathing because if I was to shoot this thing, it would be my first buck! I heard the neighbor shoot I thought great I’m gonna lose them again, but that was not the case he stuck around and when he took about two steps to his left, I was able to get a nice shoulder shot! I’m so grateful for the opportunity that God provided! What an awesome harvest! I was proud that I could share this experience with my dad, but also my daughter’s! That hard work and dedication pays off!
