We were sitting in a pine tree 8 feet wide with a Jake decoy and a hen decoy 20 yards away from us. We also had a hen decoy 4 yards from us for calling perspective, they stared gobbling right how we thought they would, they came out and walked around for a half and hour which felt like years. Some Jake’s started getting curious and then went for our Jake decoy, they were beating it up when some toms wanted in, so the toms went and joined them and were in range, meanwhile 3 Jake’s decided to approach our lone hen. They started getting nervous and BOOM!!! Lights out for the trophy tom.
