I had my stand hung in a strip between a freshly picked corn field and a freshly picked bean field facing a small lake. At about 8:30 he walked out to my right side, stopping to sniff the trail I came in on. I couldn’t see much of his rack so stayed calm and waited for a better opportunity. He headed into heavy cover which is when I got my grunt call out. Luckily for me he turned and came broad side at 60 yards. Dropped in his tracks.
