I had several does within 30 yards feeding. I heard a mature buck start grunting about 200 yards away, but I couldnt see him. The buck continued grunting for several minutes as he closed the distance. Finally I saw the buck when he emerged from the brush about 50 yards away. He continued walking straight toward me as he continued grunting. He walked in to about twelve yards and was quartering toward me when I shot. He ran 40 yards and took a dirt nap. My Three year old son Warren helped (well sorta) by holding the light as I dragged him out. Warren had to sit on the deer like daddy for the photo. 18 1/4 inch inside spread.
