I had does out in a rye field at first light so I kept a close watch on the wood line to my south. All of a sudden he popped out about 100 yards to the south, I wasn’t exactly sure this was the buck we wanted to shoot because it was still pretty dark. As I waited for it to get a bit lighter he started to work away from me toward the does who had moved about 200 yards to my west. It was then that I realized I wanted to take this buck. I grunted twice and he hooked right over to me. He crossed about 80-100 yards in front of me in the rye field and I let him have it with my bushmaster 450. He ran 50 yards and piled up. It was a great morning!!!
