At 7:50 the first morning, the giant buck nervously stuck his head and shoulders out from the dense woods. He was broadside with barely enough shoulder showing from behind a large pine tree to enable me to send a bullet from my 7mm Remington Mag that would skim as close to the tree as possible and drive the shot into his left shoulder. I sensed he was ready to bolt back into the woods. I shot instantly, and he dropped in his tracks at 140 yards from my bullet that went straight through on the back edge of both shoulders.
