I chased this deer all year long. I had two encounters with him and neither of them I could get a shot off. One was during early bow season. He was hot on a doe while I was walking into my stand all I had with me was my compound bow, and I was unable to get a shot off so I just watched him runoff. The other encounter had with him was during early rifle season and he actually caught wind of me and spooked, and I watched him run through the scope of my gun through the back of the field unable to get a shot off again, but on December 7 I got a picture of him going into my food plot at 4:30 PM so I hurry up through all my hunting gear on And put the spot in stock on him. I was able to peek out of the ravine that I was walking through and lean up against a tree for a 250 yard shot and I was able to connect and he didn’t go 50 yards. When I walked up on this deer is when the emotions hit me I almost broke down into tears I’ve hunted 100+ hours for this buck and I finally was to harvest him. By far the smartest deer I have ever hunted in my life. # A dream come true.
