With a few days left in the season I knew I had to do whatever to get a bird down , set out mid day and watched a turkey cross the road into a corn felid that butts up to public land, parked the car and walked 500 yards to the back of the public where he would be crossing through , saw him with some hens so I knew he wouldn’t respond to me so I grabbed my gun and flanked him , popped up in front and shot him at 40 yards .
