All the time and consistency put in, scent control, being quiet as a mouse climbing in the stand, and getting my calling down payed off. I lured this thing with a couple doe bleats around 4:30pm on a 47 degree day during gun season and he came in about 15 minutes later down wind exactly where I had my eyes focused. He locked his eyes on a doe sitting just underneath my stand I gave it a couple minutes that felt like HOURS. All of a sudden he walks right in front of the trail cam about 15 yards away and I let him have it. He ran about 80 yards and dropped in the field behind me. This is the biggest buck I’ve ever shot in this high pressure state of Michigan, and I just couldn’t pass this beast up.
