At daybreak saw some does come running out of the woods. They stopped in the field and kept looking back into the woods. All I saw was antlers going through the woods. He came out to the edge of woods scent checking and the does ran back into the woods. I watched as he ran them back into the woods and never gave me a good shot. At about 9 am I see does come running out of the woods again. They again came out to the field and stopped looking back. I look behind them and again see antlers coming out of the woods. Then see him scent checking and separating the does. He separated two does and they ran out of the woods. I knew he would follow so I ranged the distance and got ready. He stepped out at 188 yards and was scent checking as they ran back by him back into the woods. I slowly squeezed the trigger. He kicked and ran about 20 yards into the woods. He was about 10 feet in the woods and was spraying blood from the point of impact to where he crashed. Took out the bottom of his heart. My biggest buck to date.
