Been hunting the last 5-6 years with my father in law in the UP. I’ve passed on spikes almost every year. This year I was able to get the spot I wanted. Around 9:30 I had a spike come in to my bait he hung out for 10 minutes and got spooked. Around 3:30 I had a BIG doe come in she was very cautious turns out she had 2 yearlings with her. They hug around for 30 minutes or more then trotted off. All of the sudden the spike comes back eats real quick then bolts off into the woods. Then I hear the foot steps of this beautiful 6 point come running down the hill behind me he let out a grunt as he got to my bait. He was behind some Aspen trees but was standing broadside with a perfect shot between 2 trees. I took the shot double lunged him and he “Didn’t go 20”
