Tagged Out!!!!
Went out today not wanting to. I hate the cold! But it’s my little big bros birthday today that passed away too soon.
So this hunt was for him.
Never seen this buck on camera. Was not my target buck.
This guy came in at a distance. Walked all around me out of shooting distance. Teasing me!!! He disappeared.
I was shocked. It was only 4pm and already seen a buck.
Some time went by. Some does and fawns came in. Then here he is AGAIN! Stood like 60yards away. Couldn’t get a shot. He took off after a doe. My heart sank AGAIN.
Then I had a bunch more deer come in.
Coming from the north here’s this guy AGAIN. My heart was on a roller coaster tonight.
So he was actually in potential shooting range. I just had to move…. A lot. So holding my breath hoping no one sees me I turn a 180. I go to aim….. he looks at me all handsome looking. Staring into my soul… I aimed. I shot. I watched him crashing to the right. Then he went to the left. Then back to the right. He was zigging and zagging. Crashed down right next to my trail.
Such a great night.
