Owen had been patient sitting all weekend looking for his first buck. At 6 years old, he knew he wanted his first deer to be a buck, and had passed on several does. With daylight dwindling another group of does stepped out of the woods into the bean field. Owen noticed they acted oddly and kept looking back into the woods. After a few minutes, a 9 point stepped out, feeding straight at the blind. Waiting patiently with time running out, Owen got set to make a shot. Eventually, the 9 point turned broadside, and Owen let the 300 BLK fly at 150 yards.
