I went out Halloween morning after my wife asked why I hadn’t been hunting the morning. I use a beach chair so I can stay mobile. So I sat in a couple areas until I decided to sit by some walnut trees on the edge of a swamp. I was sitting for about 30 minutes and I heard something coming out of the swamp. It seemed like a fraction of a second and he was right next to me maybe 5 yards I took the shot and the rest is history. It’s a very special deer because I lost my Mom to cancer a few weeks ago and I feel like she really helped me out with this one my biggest buck to date and on public land.
