Was watching a real nice buck for half an hour on the other side of the field. As he made his way out the doe started filling the field. At one point there were 8 in various spots through out the field. Light was beginning to fade and I was content with my sit. I stood up in the stand to stretch and I noticed movement to my left about 25 yards. I looked through the brush at see a flash of antlers. I picked my Halon “kindness” up and got ready. This buck stepped into the field and walked perfectly into my 20yrd shooting window. I drew back but my pins were to dark. I let down turned my pin light on and drew again. He was standing pefectly broadside. I let the arrow go and herd the SWEETEST sound of the arrow making contact. He ran straight out in front of me where I could see. All the other deer scattered. I waited for about 20 min, a doe came out. She was walking in a big circle in the middle of the field. I climbed down and went to my arrow. A complete pass through. As I looked around no blood other than at the point of impact. I walked in the direction he went seeing no blood what so ever. I finally walked to where I seen the doe doing circles, and there he laid. Apon inspection I got both lungs and he kept his blood inside. A bad genetic antlers but a beautiful buck.
