Made the rookie mistake of watching a doe walk in and around me. She came within 10 yards and walked downwind and got spooked and ran up the ridge. I heard a snap behind me and jerked my head around to see this buck following her. I made a noise to stop it and it turned with its butt facing me. I waited for a second and then it started running. I made an attempt to stop it again several times before I finally let one fly through a break in the trees at 40 yards. Dropped it right there 20 minutes before last light.
