Checked my trail cameras in the morning and had a high rack 8 pt that had just shown up. Made a plan for the evening to be in my pop up early. At 3:45pm he showed back up. He came to the clearing edge and scanned the area, so I got on my scope and waited for him to walk out. Once he committed, I got my crosshairs on his shoulder and pulled the trigger on my 6.5 Creedmoor. It was a 100 yrs shot but I could see my shot was true. I grabbed my gear and quickly found him piled up. I had just harvested my second 8 pt of the season. The Lord has surely blessed this season.
