My brother lives in the U.P. and was baiting for me. We had a few different bears coming into camera, but then there was “Guttu”. He was number 1 on our hit list. We sat together the first day passed on 4 different good bears, including 1 horseshoe bear and 1 tagged bear. The second day we did not see a single bear. The 3rd day sitting we had a bear come into the pile 4 different times and scurry away each time. The last timw he looked our way and ran the other. Not more than 5 minutes later Guttu camein. My brother Jon excitedly said thats Guttu, hes the one. He came in from left to right but wouldnt present a shot. Then he circled the pile and laid down. When he stood up I pulled the trigger! He ran 40 yrs and piled up. Then the real work began! This was my first bear, but it wont be my last!
