It was an early morning getting into the stand. We got all settled in at 4:45. We had a bunch of deer right at first light. A bunch of chasing bucks out of every window. I tried to get a shot at 2 others and was unsuccessful before we seen this guy sneak around from a blind spot of the blind. With three of us in the blind we had to do some maneuvering for me to be able to get a shot at him, which was very stressful with some does being 10yards away looking towards us. Finally got situated, took about 4 deep breaths and pulled the trigger, while he was rubbing on a tree. With the tall brush it was hard to see where he went, we waited an hour and got out to check and there he was in view. Only went about 18 yards. And that is the story of my first deer ever!
