Not ideal hunting weather with that wind Sunday, but we’re sure glad we sat out there opening day. This buck was on the move when he came in, must’ve been spooked by something. Heard him coming, so I stood up in my ladder stand. He suddenly stopped at about 20 yds and gave me a perfect shot. I think he made me when I clicked off the safety, but he didn’t have a chance to get away. Double lung shot and nicked the heart. Made it another 40 yds before he piled up. Ended a 15 year buck drought.
