Had a 2 week time slot to hunt. The first weekend I hunted this location I seen him both mornings and had him on camera one of the evenings. After that, he was nowhere to be seen for the next 2 weeks. Nov 11 was last evening I could hunt this location. I was sitting there contemplating getting down and packing it up. It was the last half hour and very windy. All of a sudden I get a cell cam notification on my phone for the camera that’s about 100yds away. It was him! I put my phone away and here comes a doe ripping through the thicket coming from the direction of the camera and buck. She ran right under my stand. I got ready and Within 2 min of that he was in sight grunting and coming my way. Gave me a 25yd broadside shot. I found him piled up 70yds away. I couldn’t believe it, on the last day and last hour I get an opportunity I thought was long gone. Blessed
