I got to my stand in an area of Public land I hadn’t hunted since the first of October. This particular area always heats up at the end of October into November is a low bottom that pinches great spot catching them cruising. As the sun was rising I herd two grunts to my south and was looking very hard couldn’t make out anything I turned my head to the North and here comes a doe literally dead in to my tree I started to draw my bow on her then herd a loud tending Grunt I look up and here he came in following her. She gets just passed my stand and winds me she blows and runs out 15 yards to my west and he freezes it was now or never. I drew my Hoyt Spder let the arrow fly hit him quartering to me one lung and part liver…. He bolted off into some thick Bedding I waited two hours got down and started the track. After 80 yards I decided to grab my friend Brad and get back after the tracking and found him literally 15 yards from where I left off.! What a moment!!
