Came home on leave from the Navy and went to deer camp with my family for the first time in 3 years. It was my second morning I had hunted and I got to the blind an hour before light and as it got lighter I watched the usual does, spikes and button bucks walk in as I looked at all the deer I noticed a different one come in and stand outside to my right and just watch the others I finally got a good look at him and noticed he was an 8 and after a few minutes he gave me a perfect broadside shot between two trees and took my shot. He went about 70 yards and that was it for him. I couldn’t be happier about the hunt and being able to do it with my family again.
