So here’s the story he came out running and stopped at about 260-270 yards and was like 40 yards from the neighbor who was hunting the property line. I shot him with my muzzleloader and dropped him, well he got back up and circled around and came back out where he did the first time. This time he was walking and stopped at about 170 yards. So I shot him again with my muzzleloader and dropped him again once the smoke cleared I could see him on the ground rolling around on his back. So I got down hurried over and he was still alive so I had to put another round in him. My first shot hit him in the head at the base of his antler but never penetrated the skull my bullet was easily visible so must have gave him a headache. My next shot hit the spine and half the bullet went through one lung. It was a crazy event.
