What an unbelievable hunt!!! Nov 7th S.E Michigan.

So I go to the mail box this morning and find out my grunt call from WoodHaven came in the mail (the intimidator ninja) .. so I asked The wife if I could go out tonight in hopes of bagging the 8 point I was after. She said 😒fineee(😂😅). So as I get to my spot I changed it up and sat on the ground with a 6’ tall bush as cover over looking a field. After seeing 15 turkey and countless squirrels I was thinking this was a bad idea until I see a doe making her way towards me. I stand up getting prepared for what’s going to transpire. Two bucks (a small fork and decent 6 ) make their way to the live bait and chase her away. I use the grunt call for the first time and the two bucks stop and look right at me. They make their way to the edge of the field and go out of site. Then I glance back at where the doe was standing and the 8 point I’m after is standing right there scraping at where she was standing. So I know he’s in the mood and might be ready to fight. I hit my grunt cal with a couple “tending grunts” and he starts to make a B line right towards me. As he gets closer he starts heading the wrong way so I hit him with a “snort wheeze” and man was he not happy with that. He comes on a string right at me. Now he is within 10 yards on the other side of some brush trying to make his way to me through the thick brush ,That’s not what I wanted…I wanted him in the open where I could take a shot. So I literally jump over on the other side of the 6’ bush and start scraping the ground “praying he takes the bait of a live buck” and hit him with another snort wheeze. And he does exactly what I wanted. Walks around the 6’ bush and there I am staring him right in the eyes 5 yards away and send the arrow through the chest. Mathews DXT and schwacker broad head did not disappoint!! WHAT A HUNT!!!! #moa #spiritofthewild
