Was hunting a small parcel pretty hard for the past week. Didn’t see a deer all morning until 11:00 AM. At 11:45 AM, saw 2 deer in a field and they were heading towards the woodlot I was in. The doe had the buck in tow and she worked her way through the thick stuff browsing along the way. She got past me and the buck was still in a real thick area. I waited until he started walking and drew back. At 20 yards, I hit a little forward but got one lung. He jumped and only ran 25 yards then stood still wobbling back and forth until he tipped over. Best buck to date.
