Got into the blind a little late right around 4:40. Looked out into our field and there was a little buck running around skittishly. I look over into the neighbors field and see this buck. He’s running away from me chasing does, so I call up my neighbor and ask him if I can go shoot the buck. I walk over into his field for a spot and stalk, he’s about 600 to 700 yards away when I laid down and got set up. Then, all the deer disappear for like 5 minutes, I got all nervous and didn’t know what to do. All of a sudden a doe pops out down in the ravine and they kept piling out. There were a few little bucks mixed in with all the does. All of a sudden another buck about the same size as this one comes running in at the does. The 2 nicer bucks go back behind a hill and I have no clue what happened I couldn’t see back there. Finally the first bigger one (i think) comes out into the ravine and I decided I was going to shoot. I range him at 300 I get all set up and take the shot. He jumped up into the air and I knew I instantly hit him. He ran about 120 yards and died. And the rest is history!!
