Got to the woods later then normal…6:45. I walk into some heavy pressured state land and decide to stand and listen in the darkness. Thought I had heard some noise in the distance to my left so I walked about 40 yards in that direction and sat a ridge top. At 8:45 I heard a grunt. 9:30 this guy and a doe practically ran into my lap. 5 yard shot with 270. 5 seconds at most from time I seen him till time of shot. Happy with this buck for the area
