11/18 I snuck into a funnel area in the swamp. First deer I seen after a 2.5 hour sit was the 10 pt coming through where does bed. 40 yard shot with my .450. The morning of the 19th, I was headed to measure the rack of the 10pt and seen the 13pt out in the corn field that had recently been picked. This was the only buck I told my buddies I would shoot after the 10pt. I seen him daylight so I went out the evening of the 19th and sat on the ground at the back of the field. Watched around 30 doe hit the field before he stepped out. All the does were in the valley of the field and that’s where he was headed. Once he got in the valley, I ran to the corner of the field and crawled to the top of the hill. Every deer was looking at me! Found him in scope and took a shot. He ran 50 yards and stopped looking back at me. Sent another round. He ran 40 yards and fell down. Few mins later he got up and ran into the thicket. Decided to give him all night… best decision ever. Found him still alive and jumped him the next morning! Took a few more rounds for this tough animal. Biggest deer I’ve killed and has a nice kicker!
