November 11th at 5:45 am this deer was first spotted at my bait pile, He started to become a regular at my bait pile, in daylight hours even, started to show up about once a day at around 3 pm. Everyday up until the 15th he was at my blind at least once a day. The 14th him and 2 other bucks were in my bait around 3:20p, I started to get pretty confident I was going to at least see this deer. Opening morning came around and at 10am I shot at a nice 8pt, but grazed it’s belly, went and looked where i had shot and tracked down some trails in the woods but there was no blood at all, just some hair, feeling pretty confident that I had just grazed this deer I went in for lunch. I got back in my blind around 12:50 and saw a couple does almost right away but they weren’t in there long, I was hitting my doe call about every half hour or so, and my grunt call shortly after. Was about 2:45 and I hit my doe call, and 10 miniutes later this buck came walking in, I knew exactly what buck it was when I put the binoculars on him. I put the binoculars on the ground, put my gun up, waited for him to get into the open, he was looking right at me when he walked out, I put a pretty good shot on him right through both lungs and he went about 80-100 yards
