Last night was nothing short of magical.

This 9-point buck is the result of months of early season prep — from disking food plots with my dad in August to cutting shooting lanes and putting in countless hours of work.

Monday night looked like a bust with our farmer picking corn and deer movement low. But as I left the woods early, this buck was standing just 50 yards from where we park. I knew I had to get back in there.

Tuesday night, I got in early and sat in silence. Around 6 PM, the woods came alive — does and small bucks everywhere. I let out a grunt, and just like that, he stepped out at 50 yards. Slowly, he made his way to 25 yards, quartered to me. I let the arrow fly — perfect shot. He didn’t go 20.

I thank the Lord for the opportunity to chase His beautiful creations and for a fast, ethical harvest. Huge thanks to my girlfriend Madalyn for the pictures, and to my mom and dad for helping with recovery. And to everyone who supports me and my obsession — thank you.
