Not a big crossbow hunter and always take my compound out. After my dad passed away 3 years ago, I figured it was time to take his crossbow out.
About an hour before dark I caught him slipping into the bean field. Worked in to around 76 yards before he laid down. Readjusted in my seat as he was just outside the hole I cleared in the brush. Once he stood up, the rest was history. A 76 yard shot with my father's crossbow.
A short track job later and I recovered him. Was blessed to be able to harvest my biggest buck with my father's crossbow.
