I shot this buck at first light. My girlfriend was hunting with me so I didn’t want to ruin her hunt, so i waited longer than I normally would have. When I finally went to look for my bolt, it told me it was a gut shot.
My girlfriend and I looked for blood but couldn’t find a drop. I ended calling up a tracker.
Come to find out that once we going the buck. The bolt entered behind his right shoulder and exited on the front of his left rear quarter. The intestines blocked the hole completely not one speck of blood.

I’m thankful for a well trained tracking dog! The buck ran about 100 yards before expiring. Whitetail are on tough animal.
