I contemplated my ground blind or treestand today and my gut told me to go for my ground blind, something good was going to slip up. A little spike came in and all I could think was how much it sucked and I just wanted a quality buck, specifically the one I’ve been watching on trail cam at my tree stand. Well, two minutes later, this handsome fella came walking up. My binos were fogged and I wholeheartedly thought he was a well aged 6pt. I locked crosshairs on him and let the bolt fly at 37yds. He went out to 119yds and piled up. Thankfully, I got a brother that loves hunting as much as I do, so I pulled out until he got there, only to stumble on him and discover he’s a 10pt with 2 small ones sticking out.
