After letting 5 smaller bucks and many does go by, at around 9am this buck came out of the woods at a good pace and into the field I was overlooking. I let out a couple grunts and he slowed down just enough for me to take a confident shot at about 100 yards with my 223. He flinched and started to run, I was about to squeeze the 2nd round off after he went about 25 yards but I saw him go down before it was necessary. Very happy, my biggest buck yet.
