A good friend of mine asked me if I wanted to hunt on his property with him. I graciously accepted. He put me in one of his ladder stands and I watched bucks chasing all afternoon. I heard some thrashing in the distance around 5:15 and spotted this guy at a scrape all alone. He was the only buck that afternoon that wasn’t with a doe. I grunted to him and he came in at a trot and stopped at 4 yards to give me the perfect shot.
