I haven’t hunted in approximately thirty years so I was excited to try it again. I was in the ground blind by 6:30 am. Just started getting light around 7:10 am when I had in about a twenty minute time frame three does and a 4 point buck in my view. I looked out the back and right side of my blind with binoculars and saw a large buck around 7:30 am with a big rack. I set the binoculars down, picked up my rifle and as the buck, which was about 150 yards away, started to walk towards the wood line I shot and dropped it right in its tracks! Upon close exam of the bucks horns you could see where it had fought with other bucks and tips of the individual times had broken off. Great day for the new “beginner” again hunter!
