I had taken vacation for the prior work week to hunt with my bow. Had numerous encounters with multiple bucks but was never able to get a shot off. Switched to gun on Saturday morning and never saw a deer on opener. Sunday morning my dad and I decided to try a old spot I grew up hunting with my dad and grandpa when I was young. I haven’t been there in 10+ years. 9am on Sunday he came trotting though and the rest is history
