Thought I heard something towards the pond and looked for a while. Turned back around and there is this deer 25 yards from me in my typical shooting lane. He started walking to the south. I had to grab my bow and bring it to the other side of the tree. He stopped providing me a broadside shot at 15yds. Pulled back my bow and the pin was so still (unlike when I tried taking a shot at the same deer last week). Flung the arrow and double lunged him. I’ve made many mistakes but I can finally say 1st deer with a bow
