Lost my dad in October 2019 and this is the first buck I’ve got without him here. He was definitely watching over me during this hunt! After spending 100 hours in the woods this season, it finally paid off. Had an opportunity with this buck the morning before and I blew my chances. Was able to get another opportunity the following morning. Shot him at 108 yards with my 20 gauge. He ran about 175-200 yards and took a nose dive in a pond. First time having to fish a deer out of a pond! Very exciting and memorable hunt!
