I wasn’t able to hunt opening morning because I had my nephews but it was my turn that afternoon to hit the blind! Before heading out we had to help my dad get his out of the woods, his first 10 pt and first buck in years!
I hadn’t seen a single deer by the time my dad asked at 4 pm, he reminded me “patience was virtue and they’d be moving within the next 45 minutes.”
He wasn’t wrong!
I shot at 4:28 pm!! He ran roughly 200 yards and piled up in the fence row.
