I usually always shoot a buck on opening day, but this year that changed, 5 days had gone by and no buck, so was texting with my daughter and was saying I was a loser for not getting my buck, but she said dad it’s not over with yet you’ll get yours and a soon as we got done talking this beautiful buck stepped out in the field I couldn’t tell how big but it was nice, yet to far away I had to hope and wait that he’d come my way and it was getting dark. Finally I had to made a choice so I prayed and took aim and pulled the trigger and he fell like a bag of rocks, so surprised I tried to rack another bullet just in case and my gun jammed but there was no need he was dead, I ranged found him at 136 yards, so I walked out to him only to find a beautiful 8 point buck. And thanked GOD.
