October 2nd first light had a doe feeding in front of me when she locked up and would not move a muscle. Five minutes she stood there motionless before hightailing it. About the time she bolted I caught a glimpse of antler through a small white pine. I knew immediately who it was. I have been hunting this buck for 4 seasons. It was an unbelievable morning that I had waited for my entire deer hunting life. A true buck of a lifetime. We rough scored him at 181 4/8”
