This buck began to appear on my cameras in late October. It was an evening hunt on November 9 when I was fortunate to tag him. Towards dark a buck went by me so I tried to grunt him back in. After a couple minutes with no response I looked to my left and this buck was heading right for me, looking for the source of what he had heard. It wasn’t long before he made his way to me, and then turned broadside, presenting me with a 15 yard shot. After letting him lay for a couple of hours, my wife and daughter and I were celebrating together over the “tall 7” I had only seen on camera up to that point.
