After hunting from October 30th till November 29th with just a few days off in between I was able to connect. I only saw one other shooter that whole time and he was too far on November 5th. I had a fawn come out early around 4:50pm and then finally the doe came out. I notice they were both looking into the woods around 5:20 or so. Then I saw 3 more doe come out. They gathered for a minute in the field and that’s when I noticed another deer come out and could see a rack in low light conditions at least 200yds away. The three does that came out crossed the field in front of me and the first two remained. He slowly walked over to them and was feeding for a minute then proceeded to head my way. That gave me enough time to calm my nerves. I waited till he was in range and let him have it. Does never spooked. He went maybe 70yds. A awesome ending to a long and uneventful season. Patience pays off.
