Added 40 acres to our farm this Summer, and that’s where I first caught him on cam, and eventually got my shot the last morning before the guns started blazing. Had a couple close encounters, but finally got it done by hunting my sanctuary stand I saved for the right time the last 2 days. He was tending a doe and zigged when he should have zagged at 9:04am, 20 yds. Watched him lay down 50yds away, and not 30 seconds later an 8pt came crashing right into him and kicked him up, made my tracking job tougher than it needed to be. Only made it another 40yds though! Target buck and personal best.
